Yankees-Orioles game gets new start time after Friday's weather delay
The series opener between the Yankees and Baltimore Orioles on Friday night was delayed due to inclement weather. After more than an hour and a half of waiting, the Orioles announced at 8:58 p.m. that the game would start "at approximately 9:35 p.m."
"The start of tonight’s game will be delayed due to inclement weather," Baltimore originally announced at 6:44 p.m. "We will update with more information as it becomes available."
Gerrit Cole (9-2, 2.78 ERA) is set to take the mound for the Yankees looking to give New York a series-opening win against their division rival. Cole will be opposed by Grayson Rodriguez (2-2, 6.91 ERA).
The big news is the return of Aaron Judge. The Yankee captain was activated from the IL on Friday afternoon and will start as the team's DH and batting second in the lineup.
This will be Judge's first game since injuring his toe on June 3.
