Here are Friday's high school sports results for the Appleton area

BASEBALL

Freedom 11, Oconto Falls 0

OCONTO FALLS - Carson Clausen hit and pitched the Irish to the North Eastern Conference victory. He went four innings, allowing just one hit and three walks while striking out six. He was also 5-for-5 at the plate with two doubles and three RBI.

Ryan Heran and Carson Peters also had two hits, with Peters adding four RBI for the Irish.

Freedom scored single runs in the first and second innings before scoring five times in the fourth, two in the fifth and two in the sixth.

With the win, the Irish move to 13-11 overall and finish the regular season 9-9 in the NEC. Oconto Falls falls to 8-13 and 8-10.

Wrightstown 4, Marinette 2

WRIGHTSTOWN - The Tigers used a four-run fourth inning to earn the North Eastern Conference win over the Marines.

Aiden Humphreys was 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Riley Verbeten drove in two runs.

Weston Hanson and Kolton Goldsmith had two hits each for Marinette.

Aiden Van Zeeland picked up the win, pitching 5⅓ innings, allowing six hits and one unearned run with four walks and six strikeouts.

Clintonville 3, Denmark 2

CLINTONVILLE - Blake Weatherwax singled in the bottom of the seventh inning to bring in the winning run as the Truckers topped the Vikings in North Eastern Conference action.

Kade Rosenow reached on a two-base error to start the inning. Weatherwax had two of Clintonville’s five hits.

Rosenow pitched six innings, striking out eight, while Jack Yeager pitched one inning, getting the win, coming on in the seventh with a runner at second and no out.

Grant Schroeder pitched six innings for Denmark, giving up two unearned runs on four hits, striking out nine.

Ebyn LaForest, Josh Gajeski and Brandon Dvorak each had two hits for Denmark.

The loss drops Denmark to 15-5 overall and 13-4 in the NEC.

Chilton 5, Howards Grove 1

CHILTON - The Tigers scored four runs in the fifth inning to defeat the Tigers.

Neenah 6, Appleton East 3 (Thursday)

APPLETON - The Rockets overcame a 3-0 first-inning deficit to defeat the Patriots.

Andrew Carlson and AJ Price both had two hits for Neenah. Both players had a double with Price and Carlson both scoring two runs. Carlson also drove in two runs.

Ethan Van Dyke had a double and scored twice for Neenah, while Isaac Verbruggen drove in two runs.

Price pitched the first three innings for Neenah, allowing three runs on zero hits and five walks. Tyler Huss pitched the next two innings to get the win. Verbruggen pitched a scoreless seventh inning to get the save.

AJ Thompson had two hits for Appleton East. Michael Morales and Mason Winkler both had doubles.

Cade Prestigiacomo took the loss for the Patriots.

SOFTBALL

Appleton West 14, Green Bay West/East 2

GREEN BAY - The Terrors collected 13 hits in the nonconference victory.

Addison Edmunds had three hits and drove in two runs for Appleton West.

Hattie Mocinski struck out six batters in the circle for the Terrors.

Menasha 11, Wisconsin Rapids 5

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - The Bluejays used two big innings to flip the scoreboard and earn the nonconference win.

Trailing 3-1, Menasha scored four runs in the third and five in the fourth to take a 10-1 lead.

Addie Lund led the Bluejays’ attack, going 3-for-4 with a double and four RBI, while Eva Rausch was 2-for-5. Gabrielle Farr doubled and drove in three runs for Menasha.

Sam Shuey picked up the win in the circle, pitching four innings and allowing six hits, four runs - two earned - with one strikeout. Teagan Massey-Plamann pitched the final three innings, allowing one hit, one earned run, two walks and two strikeouts.

Sydney Holberg and Rachel Linzmeier had two hits each to lead Wisconsin Rapids.
