Fox Valley Association Championship

GREENVILLE - Fond du Lac won the team title by three strokes over Kimberly, while the Papermakers’ Aiden Cudney was the individual champion at Chaska Golf Course.

Fond du Lac shot 317 and was led by Cole Thorin, who shot 78. Kimberly shot 320 and was led by Cudney, who shot 75.

Rasmus Madsen of Appleton North finished second among individuals with a 77.

BASEBALL

De Pere 4, Seymour 3

DE PERE - The Redbirds beat the Thunder on a walk-off to grab the nonconference win.

De Pere (16-5) scored two runs in the first inning on an RBI double by Landon Raygo and another on an error on a Bryan Gerbers hard hit ball. De Pere added another run in the third on an RBI single by Raygo that scored Easton Arendt, who led off with a double.

De Pere was cruising with a 3-0 lead until the seventh inning when Seymour tied the game on an RBI triple by Cole Tetzlaff, a fielder’s choice by Xavier Salzman and an RBI double for Jace Shepherd.

De Pere won the game in the bottom of the seventh when Javin Gauthier walked, Gerbers walked and Milo Upton hit a hard single to score Gauthier with the winning run.

Casey Trousil pitched the complete game, allowing three runs on five hits and walking only one.

Mosinee 7, Merrill 5

MERRILL - Mosinee extended its winning streak to 13 games with the victory.

Mosinee finished with 16 hits. Davin Stoffel led the way with four hits, including a double. Taylor Lemanski had two hits, including a home run, and drove in five runs. Keagen Jirschele had three hits with a double. Brady Lokken and Cameron Ziebell had two hits each.

Ethan Oatman earned the win on the mound, tossing five innings while striking out four and walking one. Stoffel pitched 1⅔ innings, struck out two and walked three. Lemanski came in to record the final out to get the save.

Mosinee improves to 18-2 overall this season.

Chippewa Falls 5, Wausau West 0

WAUSAU - Jackson Gugel pitched a two-hit shutout to lead Chippewa Falls (16-6 overall) to the nonconference win.

Jadyn Pieper and Landon Parlier had hits for Wausau West (8-10). Parlier also walked twice.

Lucas Hager pitched 5⅔ innings for the Warriors. He allowed seven hits, four runs and struck out three.

Oshkosh North 5, Winneconne 1

WINNECONNE - Carson Steinbeck pitched a complete game to lead the Spartans to the nonconference win over the Wolves.

Steinbeck allowed four hits and struck out six.

Jeramiah Housworth had two hits and two RBIs for North.

Laconia 16, Markesan 1

MARKESAN - The Spartans pounded the Hornets in a five-inning nonconference matchup.

Ethan Pinno picked up the win for Laconia, as Sawyer Shultis led the offense going 3-for-5.

Also leading the Spartans were Colton Hagner, who doubled and walked twice. Keeton Grade was 2-for-3 with a walk. Camden Smit doubled and walked. Justin Seggerman was 3-for-4 with two doubles, and Jack Rens and Logan Pluim both doubled.

Leading the Markesan attack were Chayce Osterhaus, who was 2-for-3, and Jabin Lawson, who was 2-for-3 with a double.

West De Pere 10, New London 0

DE PERE - The Phantoms scored two in the second, two in the third, three in the fifth and three in the sixth to upend the Bulldogs in Bay Conference action.

Drew Van Oss drove in four runs and Thomas Walder drove in three to lead West De Pere.

Lucas Planert picked up the win, allowing just two hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out three.

Stanley-Boyd 3, Owen-Withee 1

OWEN - Elliott Ackerman was 2-for-3, but it wasn’t enough as the Orioles topped the Blackhawks in nonconference action.

Ackerman took the loss on the mound, pitching seven innings, allowing three runs - one earned - on five hits and two walks, while striking out four.

Oconto 3-10, Gibraltar 0-2

OCONTO - The Blue Devils swept the Packerland Conference doubleheader, winning 3-0 in the first game and 10-2 in the nightcap.

Kyle Bowman and Conner Christensen hit back-to-back home runs in the sixth inning of the first game for Oconto (15-5 overall).

Christensen was the winning pitcher. He threw a two-hit shutout and struck out 14 batters.

In Game 2, Riley Susa pitched a four-hit complete game with six strikeouts.

Bowman had two hits and drove in four runs, including a three-run home run. Cooper Campshure added three hits and scored three runs.

Kewaunee 14-7, Peshtigo 0-1

KEWAUNEE - The Storm scored in all four innings they batted en route to the Game 1 win, before pulling away late in the nightcap to sweep the Packerland Conference twinbill.

In the opener, Kewaunee scored one run in the first, one in the second, four in the third and eight in the fourth.

Cal Ihlenfeldt picked up the win on the mound, scattering three hits in five innings, while walking two and striking out eight. He was also 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs at the plate.

In the nightcap, Caleb Schaller allowed just one earned run on three hits, while striking out eight in six innings. At the plate, Schaller was 2-for-2 with an RBI. Collin Spranger also had two hits for the Storm.

Bryce Heroux had two hits and an RBI for the Bulldogs.

Brillion 11, Bonduel 3

BRILLION - The Lions grabbed a 7-2 lead after three innings and never looked back in the nonconference matchup.

Jaden Bastian picked up the complete-game win on the mound and had three hits at the plate.

Austin Hoyer added three hits and Spencer Gilbertson two for Brillion.

Bonduel was led by Cade Johnson with two hits.

The Bears are 12-5 overall, while Brillion moved to 8-9.

Pittsville 10, Osseo-Fairchild 4

OSSEO - After falling behind 3-0 in the first, the Panthers fought back with six runs in the fourth, two in the sixth and two in the seventh to earn the nonconference win. Osseo-Fairchild closed out the scoring with a run in the bottom of the seventh.

Dylan Luther had the hot bat, going 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs, while Dawson Luther was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Evan Haley also drove in a pair of runs for Pittsville.

Haley got the win on the mound, pitching 6⅓ innings, allowing eight hits, four earned runs and four walks, while striking out two.

GIRLS SOCCER

Divine Savior Holy Angels 5, Kimberly 0

MILWAUKEE - The Papermakers were handed their first loss of the season as DSHA built a 3-0 halftime lead.

Kimberly is now 17-1 overall, while DSHA improved to 11-2-2.

Assumption 8, Arcadia 0

ARCADIA - Sarah Shaw scored four goals and had an assist for the Royals in the victory.

Addi Vollert, Kendall Duellman and Aislinn Dolan also scored for Assumption, which also scored on an own goal by the Arcadia defense. Duellman also had two assists.

Haley Hintz was in goal for Assumption (12-2 overall) but didn’t need to make a save.

SOFTBALL

Wisconsin Rapids 8, Menasha 7

MENASHA - Every time the Bluejays would knot the score, the Red Raiders had an answer as they pulled out the nonconference win in eight innings.

Sydney Holberg was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI, and Rhiannon Carroll was 3-for-5 to lead Wisconsin Rapids. Registering two hits each for the Red Raiders were Kristin Radtke and Kendall Ziegahn.

Addie Lund led the Bluejays offense, going 3-for-4 with five RBIs, including a three-run homer in the fifth inning, which tied the game at 5-5.

Karly Helf, Maddie Zaves and Sam Shuey had two hits each for Menasha.

Mosinee 7, Wausau West 6

MOSINEE - With the score tied 2-2, Mosinee scored five times in the third and then held on to post the nonconference win.

Ava Busse picked up the win in the circle, allowing six runs (four earned) on five hits and four walks, while striking out eight.

Martina Miller drove in a pair of runs for Mosinee.

Sadie Peissig and Baylen Hulstrom both doubled and drove in a pair of runs for Wausau West.
