Welcome to our latest Cape Cod and Islands high school football Players of the Week Poll. High school sports fans can vote for which football athletes they think were standouts during the previous week.

The poll will be open from Monday through Sunday. The winners will be announced every Monday along with the new poll.

Kelley became the first Canalmen to win the poll this season with 62% of the votes. He had another do-it-all performance as the Canalmen beat Monomoy 21-8 on the road. Kelley finished with two rushing touchdowns on offense, kicked an extra point, and had an interception on defense.

Quarterback Barber went 7-for-14 for 106 yards and two touchdowns, and added five carries for 61 yards on the ground for the Dolphins 27-6 win over Falmouth.

Ferreira threw for 45 yards and ran for 40 yards and two touchdowns, while adding three tackles and one interception on defense in a 21-7 win over East Bridgewater.

Ethan Fox, Bourne

Fox ran in for two scores in a 28-16 win over Seekonk.

Jake Haigh, Nantucket

Haigh had two interceptions, and a pick six, in a 13-0 win over St. John Paul II.

Hue ran for 82 yards and finished with three touchdowns on the ground, while catching another touchdown through the air in a 35-0 win over Hull.

Kelley led the way with one touchdown pass (4-6 for 85 yards), one touchdown run (8 carries for 120 yards), and two interceptions in a win over Seekonk.

Watts had a 80-yard kickoff return touchdown for the Rams in a loss to South Shore Tech.
