Four-star cornerback Khamari Terrell commits to Oregon Ducks

Five days ahead of National Signing Day, the Oregon Ducks received a commitment.

On Friday, Killeen (Texas) Shoemaker four-star cornerback Khamari Terrell announced that he was committing to Oregon. The 2022 prospect chose the Ducks over Baylor, Clemson, Florida, USC and LSU.

Terrell visited Oregon last weekend. He also plans to run track at the university. He currently has the nation's fastest time in the 400, along with having a 10.72 100-meter time.

247Sports ranks Terrell as the nation's 29th best cornerback prospect. He is also the 39th best player in the state of Texas.

Terrell marks the third high school commitment for Dan Lanning since he took over as coach. Hawaii three-star offensive lineman Kawika Rogers and Lake Oswego four-star athlete Justius Lowe previously announced their decision to attend Oregon.

In December, Lanning signed defensive linemen Sir Mells, Ben Roberts and Anthony Jones to the 2022 class. Defensive tackle Sam Taimani, who transferred from Washington, is already enrolled in classes at Oregon and will be eligible to play next season.

According to 247Sports, Oregon's 2022 class now ranks as the 54th best in the nation. The Ducks also have the seventh-best recruiting class in the Pac-12.
