Former Texas A&M DL Justin Madubuike receives good news regarding his future in Baltimore

Over the last decade, Texas A&M has sent dozens of football players at nearly every position to the NFL, while a select number of alumni represent the League, including Baltimore Ravens star defensive lineman Justin Madubuike.

Drafted by the Ravens in the 3rd round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Madubuike’s profile skyrocketed during the 2023 season, as all his hard work over the past three years earned him his first Pro Bowl nod, and even more impressive and vital to his financial future, he was named Second-team All-Pro.

Finishing the year with 56 tackles (38 solo tackles), 13 sacks, and two forced fumbles, The Ravens knew that it might take some time to get a long-term deal made, while the risk of losing one of the top defensive playmakers at just 26 years of age could be devastating to their DL future.

Making what on paper looked inevitable, it was reported by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler that the Ravens had franchise-tagged Justin Madubuike. If a long-term deal is not made by the start of the 2024 season, he is set to net $22 million next season.
