Former Steeler on board with a return of EDGE Bud Dupree

The Tennessee Titans are currently dumping salary and the next guy to go could be edge rusher Bud Dupree. Dupree spent the last two seasons with the Titans after spending his first six seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers. With Dupree set to hit the open market, former Steelers linebacker Arthur Moats talked about a potential return and he’s all for it.

Moats thinks after two down seasons with the Titans, getting Dupree back in Pittsburgh where he could be more of a rotational guy, the team could put him in better positions to make plays. Dupree is a player who builds off of his own success and if he struggles, can’t pull himself out of it.

Let me go on the record that I fully endorse this move if it is financially responsible. Dupree had 19.5 sacks in his final two seasons with Pittsburgh playing across from T.J. Watt. Putting Dupree back on the field with Watt and Alex Highsmith would be a huge boost for a Steelers pass rush that was dreadful in 2022.

Let us know in the comments if you think the Steelers should sign Dupree if he’s released by Tennessee.
