Former Rangers forward Artem Anisimov signs with Hartford Wolf Pack

The Hartford Wolf Pack, the Rangers’ AHL affiliate, have signed forward Artem Anisimov to a professional tryout agreement.

Anisimov, 35, was selected by the Rangers in the second round of the 2006 NHL Draft. He appeared in 244 games with the Rangers from 2008-2012, tallying 108 points (46 goals).

During the 2011-12 season, his final year with the Blueshirts, Anisimov skated in 79 games and recorded 36 points (16 goals)

The Russian native spent 13 total seasons in the NHL with the Rangers, Blue Jackets, Blackhawks and most recently with the Senators during the 2020-21 season. In that last season, Anisimov played in 19 games and had nine points (two goals).

In total, Anisimov has recorded 376 points (180 goals) in 771 NHL games.

Last year, Anisimov played in 55 games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms -- the Flyers’ affiliate -- where he recorded 36 points (19 goals).

Signing with the Wolf Pack means Ansimov is one step away from re-joining the Rangers if depth is needed.
