During his NFL career, Marquez Valdes-Scantling has certainly dropped his share of passes.

But in the NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl, Valdes-Scantling, a former Green Bay Packers receiver, did more than his part to help secure yet another Lombardi trophy for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Valdes-Scantling's first catch of the Super Bowl was a 16-yard touchdown reception with 2:28 to play in the third quarter to give the Chiefs a 13-10 lead.

And Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw the pass over former Packers linebacker Oren Burks.

The Chiefs eventually won the 58th Super Bowl, 25-22, in overtime, thanks to an epic final drive directed by Mahomes.

But his earlier touchdown throw was the latest key play made by Valdes-Scantling in the playoffs. The Kansas City wideout also caught the clinching 32-yard reception in the AFC Championship win against the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens.

It's also Valdes-Scantling's fourth career touchdown in the playoffs. He has 16 regular season scores in his six years in the league including one this season.

Thanks to the play of Mahomes, he now has more Super Bowl rings than his former quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.

However Valdes-Scantling's second catch of the night could have turned into disaster His six-yard grab in overtime turned into a four-yard loss when he was trying to break a tackle with 5:28 remaining. It put the Chiefs in a second down and long situation from their own 39.

But two plays later, Mahomes converted on third down and all was well.
