Former NFL quarterback David Carr says Caleb Williams is ‘a perfect fit for Chicago’

Former NFL quarterback David Carr is sold on Caleb Williams as an NFL quarterback prospect. Carr thinks Caleb will work out well with the Chicago Bears.

If you’re skeptical that Caleb will do well in Chicago, we wrote about why that might be the case:

“Caleb to the Chicago Bears and hot-seat head coach Matt Eberflus frankly feels like a situation set up to fail. Caleb to the New England Patriots would be a really good outcome, given that Caleb would not need to score huge numbers of points behind a strong defense, which he never had under Lincoln Riley either at Oklahoma or USC. The fit really matters for Caleb. He likely won’t transcend a bad NFL organization if he lands in one.”

We wrote that on February 27. However, a lot has changed since then. The Bears have added receiver Keenan Allen and a lot of other pieces on both sides of the ball. The moves look like good adjustments which will help Caleb.
