A pair of former Kent State stars signed free agent contracts following the 2022 NFL Draft on Saturday.

Quarterback Dustin Crum, the 2021 Mid-American Conference Player of the Year, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. One of his favorite targets, wide receiver Keshunn Abram, agreed to a free agent deal with the New York Jets.

Crum became the first KSU quarterback to throw for over 3,000 yards in a season in 2021, while leading his team to the MAC East Division championship. He joined Joshua Cribbs as the only two Golden Flashes to top 9,000 career total yards (7,420 passing, 2,071 rushing), and finished his collegiate career with 55 touchdown passes.
