Former Eastlake soccer star Omar Gio Mora commits to D1 Oral Roberts

Former Eastlake soccer player Omar Gio Mora has a bright future ahead of him.

The former United Soccer Coaches All-American has verbally committed to play for Division I Oral Roberts in Oklahoma.

Mora is currently at Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas, where he scored eight goals last year and has nine goals this season.

Oral Roberts is one of the nation's top schools and is ranked No. 22 in the nation in the Top Drawer Soccer poll and is No. 26 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.

"Oral Roberts started recruiting this season after the second game and process went well," said Mora, who will sign with the school in November. "I feel college has really gone well for me so far at Angelina and it's helped me become the person I am today. Oral Roberts is a strong program and has recruited Texas well."
