Football: Teddy Bridgewater named at head coach at alma mater, Miami Northwestern

Teddy Bridgewater is heading back home.

The recently retired NFL quarterback has been named the new head coach at Miami Northwestern High School, according to The_Portal_305. Bridgewater was an All-American as a senior at Northwestern in 2010.

The move has been expected for more than a month. Northwestern moved on from Michaelee Harris after one season in November, and Bridgewater said he planned to coach high school football when he announced his retirement in December.

Bridgewater will be the third Northwestern coach in as many seasons as the program looks for stability after firing state championship-winning coach Max Edwards before the 2023 season.
