Immaculata 32, Holy Trinity 3: Joe Fleming rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns, adding a 2-point conversion run, and Tyler Oram kicked a 32-yard field goal and finished 3-for-3 kicking extra points and Immaculata rolled to 4-0. Mason Geis and Cole Hayden also ran in TDs for the Spartans, while Makail Muhammed paced them in the win, rushing for 98 yards.

Union 22, St. Joseph-Metuchen 15: O’Malley King’s second touchdown of the day was a 28-yard pass to Erick Reyes with 6:14 left in the fourth quarter, before Union added a 2-point conversion, and the Farmers rallied from a 15-14 deific to score an American Gold Division win and third straight victory. The Farmers (3-1) began the game with a six-yard King TD run and a 69-yard Kordal Hinton scoring jaunt and led 14-0 after one quarter. The Falcons (1-2) scored 15 unanswered in the second quarter, getting 44 and 31-yard field goals, respectively, from Tyler Huseth, a safety, and a one-yard Daniel Degennao TD run, following my a Huseth kick to make it 15-14.

Hillside 45, Roselle 6: Zion Risher completed 10-of-16 passes for 210 yards and three touchdowns, and Talibi Kaba totaled 175 rushing yards and three scores and Hillside cruised to its second straight. Darvens Tunis hauled in four catches for 75 yards and three scores, while Kamari Robinson Chibugo Chigozie-Nwosu also ran in a score for the Comets (2-1). Nazir Baker connected with Michael Moonsammy on a touchdown pass for Roselle (0-3), who got 88 rushing yards from Ajani Philips.

FRIDAY

Bound Brook 35, South River 13: Jeremiah Norwood completed 10-of-15 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns, both going to Jarrd Wooden, who caught scoring passes of 38 and 95 yards and Bound Brook won for the first time in two years, snapping a 12-game losing streak. Norwood, Kiernan Pareja and Amod Dudley all added rushing scores for the Crusaders (1-2). Gabriel Silva recovered a fumble in the end zone and Aiden Velez ran in a 26-yard TD for South River (0-3).

Dunellen 44, Belvidere 25: Chiekezie Ogbuewu gobbled up 214 yards on 20 attempts and scored four rushing touchdowns, and Elijah Duplesis added 64 rushing yards and two more scores and Dunellen rolled to 3-0. Belvidere fell to 0-4.

South Hunterdon 12, Middlesex 7: Ryan Rampel scored on a fourth-quarter run, erasing a 7-6 deficit and South Hunterdon scored a huge Freedom Silver Division win. Jax Jarvis opened the scoring, catching a 33-yard TD pass from Dom Parenti in the first quarter for Middlesex (2-1). The Eagles (3-1) responded in the second quarter with a 35-yard touchdown pass from Anthony Venettone, but the extra-point attempt was blocked, leaving the Blue Jays with the one-point lead.

Perth Amboy 35, JF Kennedy 7: Jahmeil Brown totaled 70 rushing yards and a score, adding a passing touchdown, and Jerome Green ran nine times for 100 yards and a score to send Perth Amboy to its second straight win. Lavion Balthazar, who also forced a fumble and posted two sacks, caught a TD and ran in another, while Guy Bernadin also scored for the Panthers (2-2). The Mustangs fell to 0-3.

Brearley 16, Roselle Park 8: Ethan Lucas-Jones caught a 49-yard touchdown pass from Xavier Padilla for Roselle Park (1-2), but Brearley (1-2) prevailed for its first victory.

Governor Livingston 34, J.P. Stevens 0: Lucciano Santamaria threw two touchdown passes to Matt Shaffer as Governor Livingston pitched its second-straight shutout. The Highlanders (3-1) edged North Plainfield 2-0 last week. Thursday, GL’s offense also opened up. Santamaria connected with Shaffer for scores of 31 and 46 yards in the second quarter as GL led 20-0 at halftime. Jack Dally rushed for two touchdowns and had seven tackles. Owen Chait had a team-high 80 rushing yards on 10 carries and chipped in eight tackles. Patrick Kingsley added five tackles and forced a fumble. Grant Young closed the scoring in the fourth quarter with a one-yard TD and Mason Barker kicked four extra points. J.P. Stevens fell to 0-4.

A.L. Johnson 35, Metuchen 11: Emilio Menicucci scored three times and quarterback Robert Gallagher rushed and threw for a score as A.L. Johnson (2-1) won its second straight. The Crusaders took a 21-0 lead into halftime. Gallagher rushed for a team-high 126 yards on seven carries and scored on a 61-yard run. Menicucci picked up 81 rushing yards and crossed the end zone on runs of 30 and 1 yards. He also caught a 32-yard TD pass from Gallagher. Joshua Maltez-Torres added a 25-yard rushing touchdown and finished with 52 yards on six carries. Maltez-Torres and Menicucci each had eight tackles to lead the defense. Metuchen fell to 1-2.

Westfield 23, Elizabeth 21: Josh Caramagno rushed for 127 yards on 23 carries and scored two times as Westfield earned the win. The Blue Devils (1-2) led 17-14 at halftime. Caramagno scored on runs from 1 and 6 yards. Quarterback Maxwell Cho rushed in a 7-yard touchdown and 11-of-17 for 135 yards in the air. Colin Coyle five catches for 80 yards and Caramagno (3 catches) and Enzo Ferreo (2 catches) each had 20 receiving yards. Nikolas Lukis added an 18-yard field goal. For Elizabeth (0-4), Arique Flemming went 18-of-26 for 238 yards with a 3-yard TD pass to Ibn McDaniels. Nireese McDougald (1 yard) and Jamad Lyles (3 yards) added short touchdown runs. Nahjae Smith had five catches for a team-high 85 yards.

Spotswood 34, Highland Park 0: Trey Lazar accounted for three touchdowns and Spotswood’s defense once again had a big game as the Chargers (4-0) remained undefeated. Spotswood opened the game with a 27-point second quarter after a scoreless first quarter. Lazar rushed for 119 yards on 10 carries, including a 70-yard score. He also went 3-for-4 for 92 yards with a 25-yard TD pass to Colin Pfeiffer and a 30-yard hook and lateral scoring pass to John Lublin. Spotswood also scored on a 2-yard run from Quin Esser and a 23-yard scamper from Nagee Lewis. Noah Rodriguez added four extra points in the win. Sebastian Saracino also rushed for 48 yards and James Curnal had two catches for 42 yards.

Piscataway 45, Monroe 7: Landon Pernell and Elan McCrorey each threw touchdown passes as Piscataway used a balanced offensive attack and tight defense to win its second straight. The Chiefs (2-2) recorded five sacks with Riley Wingate chipping in 2 1/2 sacks and Kenley Candil returned an interception for a 60-yard score. Piscataway held a 454-133 edge in total yards. Pernell was 4-for-5 for 147 yards and threw a 65-yard TD to Jahai Johnson and a 67-yard scoring pass to Donald N’waigwe. McCrorey was 4-of-9 for 100 yards and tossed a 21-yard score to Kiandre Dato-Snead. James Bodley rushed for a team-high 83 yards on four carries and added a 70-yard touchdown scamper, while Micky Simmons scored on a 10-yard run. Additionally, Vincent Novak kicked a pair of field goals from 39 and 31 yards. Monroe fell to 1-3.

Hunterdon Central 17, Bridgewater-Raritan 7: Allan Lopez-Gamez delivered a 27-yard field goal in the first quarter, giving Hunterdon Central a 3-0 halftime lead, and the Red Devils added a score in the third quarter on Jakob Saus’ six-yard scoring run to make it 10-0, and the defense did the rest to earn the road win. Devin Goldberg got Bridgewater-Raritan (1-3) to within a touchdown with a one-year scoring pass from Jack Bray to Evan Goldberg in the fourth quarter, before Saus added a seven-yard scoring scamper to ice it and send Central to 4-0.

Phillipsburg 54, North Hunterdon 7: Jett Genovese three for 143 yards and two touchdowns, both going to Kevin Burgess, who finished with 99 yards and just the two catches and added an interception, and Phillipsburg cruised to 3-0. Jah’Quil Dooley ran in two TDs for the Stateliners, while Caleb Rivera (6-87), John Wargo (5-45) and Sean Negro (3-52) all added rushing scores in the win. Wargo and Gifton Friday-Johnson recorded sacks for Phillipsburg, which also got a pick from Marvelou Shabi. Patch Day pitched in nine tackles and a forced fumble for the Liners. Kyle Anderson connected with Brennan Zundel on a 14-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter for North Hunterdon (0-4), which tied the game at 7-7 with 8:27 remaining in the first half.

New Providence 23, Delaware Valley 16: Ben Gullo ran for 56 yards and a touchdown, and TJ Munn connected with Jack Verbaro on another score and New Providence held off Delaware Valley in a Patriot Division crossover. Verbaro also added a 22-yard field goal in the win, with Jackson Zarinko’s 90-yard fourth-quarter interception return proving to be the game winner for the Pioneers (3-1). It was one of two picks Zarinko grabbed Thursday. Matt Botvinis also picked off a pass in the win. The Terriers fell to 2-1.

Manville 41, Dayton 7: Naquavere Thoams reeled off 177 yards on 14 carries and two touchdowns, and quarterback Josh D’Ambrosio rushed for 102 yards and four touchdowns and Manville moved to 2-2. Isaiah Bennett pitched in 99 rushing yards for the Mustangs. Dayton is 0-3.

Rahway 27, Scotch Plains-Fanwood 12: Sophomore running back Andrew Avent rushed for 147 yards and touchdowns of 6 and 21 yards as Rahway opened a 27-6 lead heading into halftime to improve to 3-1. The Indians’ Marquis Diggs started things off by returning the opening kickoff 79 yards for a score. Trevor Delapara added an eight-yard TD run in the win. Ryan Gilligan scored on a three-yard run for Scotch Plains-Fanwood (1-3) and Anthony Romano added a nine-yard touchdown scamper.

Bernards 30, Voorhees 6: Connor Laverty finished with 142 passing yards and a touchdown, adding 38 rushing yards and two more scores, and Bernards remained undefeated. Jake Caldwell finished with seven catches for 63 yards and a score, with Patrick Carlisle also running in a TD for the Mountaineers (4-0). Brandon Kurzeja scored on a one-yard second-quarter run for Voorhees, before Bernards scored three unanswered touchdowns and the safety to pull away.

Watchung Hills 31, Morris Knolls 24: Aleks Sitkowski completed 21-of-32 passes for 293 yards and three touchdowns, and Brayden Kelly collected six catches for 107 yards and two scores and Watchung Hills moved to 4-0. Jack Clintock grabbed eight passes for 108 yards in the win, while David Dubas caught a TD pass and Cam Montague ran one in for the Warriors. Brady Marshall paced the Watchung Hills defense with 15 tackles and a sack, also recovering a fumble, while Scott Drews added 11 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception. Kelly pitched in two forced fumbles and a recovery to go with six solo tackles and Jake Arakelian made nine tackles, notched a sack, and grabbed an INT in the victory.
