Prior to the home finale of the Flyers' 2022-23 season, the organization's third straight year of missing the playoffs, the club announced the winners of its team awards:

Here's who took home honors:

Carter Hart — Bobby Clarke Trophy (Flyers MVP — selected by sportswriters and sportscasters)

Hart was the Flyers' backbone all season, often playing like the team's most important player. He has had four wins with 40 or more saves, including two 48-save performances. He has gone 9-2-3 when facing 35 or more shots in a game.

The 24-year-old entered Tuesday with 21 wins, a 2.94 goals-against average and .907 save percentage.

He became the first goalie to win the team MVP honor since Roman Cechmanek did it in 2002-03.

Ivan Provorov — Barry Ashbee Trophy (Most outstanding defenseman — selected by sportswriters and sportscasters)

Provorov was voted the Flyers' most outstanding defenseman for the fourth time in his career. The 26-year-old leads the team in minutes per game (22:56) and is second among the club's defensemen in points (24), assists (19) and blocked shots (156).

Once again, Provorov has been an ironman type, playing in every game. During games, he has battled through injury and has played some of the hardest minutes.

The vote was likely a tight one between Provorov and Nick Seeler, who has had a strong season and is the team's Masterton Trophy nominee.

Justin Braun — Yanick Dupre Class Guy Award (Presented to the Flyer who best illustrates character, dignity and respect both on and off the ice — selected by Philadelphia chapter of PHWA)

Braun has been nothing but class in his time with the Flyers. The veteran defenseman has served as a quality leader, on and off the ice. The 36-year-old has also tackled any role that is asked of him, despite dealing with a good number of healthy scratches.

Owen Tippett — Pelle Lindbergh Memorial Trophy (Most improved — selected by teammates)

Tippett has been one of the Flyers' biggest bright spots this season. He has shattered his previous career highs in every major statistical category. Entering Tuesday with 24 goals and 21 assists, the 24-year-old winger has blossomed into a foundation piece.

Carter Hart — Gene Hart Memorial Award (Player with the most “heart” — selected by Philadelphia Flyers Fan Club)

Hart is beloved player by the fans and has definitely shown heart in net, through the ups and downs of the team's difficult rebuilding season.
