Florida softball live score updates in 2024 NCAA Gainesville Super Regional vs Baylor
On April 25th, Florida softball teetered on the edge of hosting a regional.
The Gators were coming off a run rule loss at home to rival Florida State and needed a quick turnaround to earn a top 16 seed.
Since then, UF has lost just once, and now, Florida will host a Super Regional for the first time in three years.
The Gators open Supers play vs unseeded Baylor Friday at noon at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium in Gainesville.
UF tore through the Gainesville Regional this past weekend. It defeated FGCU and South Alabama twice by a combined score of 24-2.
The Bears, meanwhile, defeated No. 13 seed Louisiana-Lafayette in a winner-take-all game Sunday to win the Lafayette Regional.
UF is looking to advance to the Women's College World Series for the first time since 2022 and win a home Super Regional for the first time since 2019.
