Flat Rock duo tops Football Player, Athlete of the Week voting
Flat Rock athletes Michael Beaudrie and Lauren McNamara have been voted the Monroe County Region’s best for the week of Nov. 13-19.
They had nearly identical vote totals.
Beaudrie drew 96 votes in the Football Player of the Week poll and voters clicked on McNamara’s name 94 times.
McNamara, who capped an outstanding swimming career by winning the individual medley and butterfly at the Division 3 state finals, got a good battle from Milan volleyball player Lauryn Parris, who drew 86 votes.
Last week’s winners were Kolby Masserant of Whiteford and St. Mary Catholic Central volleyball player Jessica Costlow.
