Five-TD games and more: Vote for the Cape Cod High School Football Player of the Week

Welcome to our latest Cape Cod and Islands high school football Players of the Week Poll!

High school sports fans can vote for which football athletes they think were standouts during the previous week.

The poll will be open from Monday through Sunday. The winners will be announced every Monday along with the new poll.

Rules of the Road

Votes must be cast via the Cape Cod Times website/mobile sites. Votes submitted via email and social media will NOT be accepted. To vote for this week’s Players of the Week, scroll down on this page.

Week 1 candidates

Dolphins quarterback Barber went 20-for-32 for 382 yards and five touchdowns, while rushing 10 times for 35 yards in a 40-38 win over Mashpee.

Jacob Bohlin, Dennis-Yarmouth

Bohlin caught five of Barber's passes for 153 yards and two scores.

Kaio DeCosta, Martha's Vineyard

DeCosta threw two touchdowns (40 and 50 yards) and ran in for another as the Vineyarders beat Sutton 40-20.

Chapman scored twice in a 22-14 win over Wareham.

Dillon finished with three catches for 91 yards and two touchdowns as the Dolphins beat Mashpee.

France had four receptions for 38 yards and carried the ball eight times for 83 yards and a TD for the Red Hawks in a 49-14 win over Brockton. On defense, he also had a 40-yard interception for a touchdown.

Quarterback Kalkus scored two total touchdowns in a loss to Holbrook.

Quarterback Kundel had himself a day as he went 16-for-22 for 271 yards and three passing TDs, and added seven rushes for 51 yards and two more TDs on the ground in a win over Brockton.

Mayo pulled in seven catches for 80 yards and a touchdown in a win over Mashpee.

Oliveira rushed six times for 197 Yards and three touchdowns in a win over Sutton. On defense he had six tackles and an interception.

Shakespeare caught four passes for 96 yards and two TDs in a win over Brockton.
