The results are in.

Bishop Kenny's Alejandro Vinas is the Florida Times-Union's latest First Florida Credit Union Athlete of the Week for the 2023-24 high school sports season, covering the week of Nov. 6-11 in the Jacksonville area.

The senior led Bishop Kenny to the boys team cross country championship at the Region 1-2A meet in Lake City. He ran 16:21.90 for fourth place among individuals.

He placed first in a vote of top Northeast Florida performers that included Laython Biddle (Bartram Trail football), Karlee Castleman (Christ's Church girls soccer), Alyson Johnson (Creekside girls cross country), Annabelle MacAdams (Ponte Vedra girls swimming), Tyler Mawhinney (Fleming Island boys golf), Connor Rahn (Middleburg volleyball), Fabriany Restrepo-Chilito (Englewood boys soccer), Sofia Rivera (Beachside girls golf), Maxwell Shaver (Fletcher boys swimming) and Jayden Taylor (Raines football).

It's time to vote for Florida Times-Union's next First Florida Credit Union Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 13-18, 2023.

The Times-Union gathers nominees from scores, stats and nominations e-mailed to the sports desk during the week by coaches across Northeast Florida. Coaches can e-mail these stats and scores to preps@jacksonville.com.

This week's voting begins Monday morning and closes at 10 a.m. Thursday. Votes are restricted to once per device per hour.

Belle Alford, St. Joseph girls soccer

The freshman forward scored all four goals in the undefeated Flashes' 4-1 victory against Palatka on Friday.

Seth Chestnut, Baker County football

The junior linebacker returned an interception for a touchdown for the second consecutive week, helping the Wildcats beat Yulee 32-14 in the Region 2-2S playoffs.

Cam Goldknopf, Episcopal boys golf

The senior shot 3-over 147 to tie for fifth among individuals at the Class 1A championship in Howey-in-the-Hills, helping the Eagles to a team runner-up finish.

Alex Guevara, Westside boys soccer

The senior midfielder scored three goals and three assists in the Wolverines' 5-0 wins against Riverside and Jackson.

Alyson Johnson, Creekside girls cross country

The sophomore won the Class 4A state final, becoming St. Johns County's first-ever individual champion in girls cross country.

Chris Joost, Bolles boys cross country

The senior closed his high school cross country career with a second-place finish in Class 2A, helping the Bulldogs to the team title.

Tiant Wyche, Mandarin football

The senior running back rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns, and gained 96 yards receiving with another score, as the Mustangs beat No. 1 Lake Mary 36-10 in Region 1-4M.
