First Florida Credit Union Athlete of the Week poll for Jacksonville: Sept. 18

The results are in.

Orange Park junior Ryanne Robinson is the Florida Times-Union's First Florida Credit Union Athlete of the Week for the 2023-24 high school sports season, covering the week of Sept. 2-8 in the Jacksonville area.

The junior recorded 35 kills and 21 digs to help Raiders volleyball beat St. Johns Country Day and Bishop Snyder, extending their winning streak to four matches.

She has recorded more than 570 career kills in three seasons with Orange Park, in addition to 61 goals in two years for the Raiders' soccer team.

She placed first in a vote of top Northeast Florida performers that included Nicole Avila (Stanton girls swimming), John Finnemore (Ponte Vedra boys swimming), Jaime Ffrench (Mandarin football), Nolan Harper (Beachside boys golf), Jenssy Smith (Ribault football), Addy Vogt (St. Johns Country Day girls golf), Lauren Voutour (St. Augustine girls cross country) and Walker White (Providence boys cross country).

It's time to vote for Florida Times-Union's next First Florida Credit Union Athlete of the Week for the week of Sept. 11-16, 2023.

The Times-Union gathers nominees from scores, stats and nominations e-mailed to the sports desk during the week by coaches across Northeast Florida. Coaches can e-mail these stats and scores to preps@jacksonville.com.

This week's voting begins Monday morning and closes at 10 a.m. Thursday. Votes are restricted to once per device per hour.

Nancy Cox, Ponte Vedra girls golf

The senior won the girls individual championship with a 69 and helped Ponte Vedra to the overall team championship at the Jax Beach Invitational.

Kylie Elrod, Clay girls swimming

The senior won the 100-yard butterfly, 200 individual medley and two relays to lead the Blue Devils to victory against county rival Orange Park.

Nolan Harper, Beachside boys golf

The senior earned co-medalist honors at the Randy Warren Invitational, helped the Barracudas to the St. Johns County championship and won the boys individual tournament with a 68 at the Jax Beach Invitational.

Owen Kerkezi, Bishop Kenny boys swimming

The junior won the boys 100 and 200-yard freestyle to lead the Crusaders to first place overall in the Florida Catholic Invitational, setting three meet records.

Mari King, Trinity Christian volleyball

The junior outside hitter won most valuable players while leading the Conquerors to the JJVA River City Classic title, beating Astronaut, St. John Lutheran, Mandarin, Tallahassee Lincoln and Ridgeview.

Tommy Offord, Palatka football

The sophomore quarterback rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns, and completed 4 of 7 passes for 80 yards and two more scores in a 35-8 win against Belleview.

Matt Ryan, Nease boys cross country

The senior ran a personal-best 15:02 for a 10th-place finish at the adidas XC Challenge against a national field in Cary, N.C.

Sofie Stam, Bolles girls cross country

The seventh-grader ran her best-ever 5K time, an 18:44, to lead Bolles to an eighth-place finish at the adidas XC Challenge in North Carolina.

Tony Williams, White football

The two-way athlete intercepted two passes, made nine tackles and added a touchdown on offense in a 30-16 win over Parker.
