Final score prediction for Commanders vs. Giants, Week 7
The Washington Commanders are 2-6-1 in their last nine meetings against the New York Giants. Quarterback Daniel Jones is 5-1-1 vs. Washington during that time.
The two NFC East rivals meet for the first this season in Week 7, and Jones is questionable. What does that mean for the Commanders? If Jones can’t go, veteran Tyrod Taylor will start under center for the Giants.
Why has New York had Washington’s number recently? It isn’t as if the Giants have dominated the Commanders. Almost every game is decided by one score and comes down to the final possession. Both of last season’s games came down to the wire, with one ending in a tie.
So, who wins on Sunday?

Every Washington game seems to come down to the wire. That’s especially true when the Commanders face off with the Giants. It doesn’t matter how terrible one or both of these teams are in any given year. They almost always play close games.
That’s what I expect in Week 7. I think Taylor will have some success against the Commanders because he’s more willing to attack downfield than Daniel Jones. Much like Jones, Taylor can also impact the game with his legs.
However, I believe Sam Howell and the offense have a solid game, and Washington’s defense will take advantage of New York’s beat-up offensive line. It will still be close, though.
Commanders 23, Giants 16

The Giants offensive line is so beat up, and the strength of the Commanders is supposed to be their defensive line. Frankly, the Commanders defensive line can use plenty of rotation, keeping their players fresh and being able to put all sorts of pressure on the Giants quarterback.
However, with Saquon Barkley back in the lineup, the defensive line will need to be first stopping Barkley. His 146 yards from scrimmage in the last game these teams met is a blueprint for how the Giants can keep the ball away from Sam Howell.
Washington should win this game. They should be a lock to win comfortably. However, every season, there are NFC East games that are much closer than anticipated.
So, though Commanders fans may be frustrated at times Sunday when the game is closer than anticipated, and though the Giants will most likely sack Sam Howell multiple times, the Commanders will still win this game, though at times it may be ugly.

Coming off a much-needed win in Atlanta last week, the Washington Commanders are looking to build back some of the early season momentum they had prior to a rough 3-game losing streak.
Washington heads into MetLife for a divisional clash against a Giants team that has dropped four straight. However, the Giants have been a tough outing for the Commanders as of late, winning six out of the last ten meetings between the two NFC East rivals. New York’s only division win (and tie) last season came against Washington.
With that said, the Giants are a mess on both sides of the ball right now and have gone three straight games without an offensive touchdown, their longest streak since 1976. Saquon Barkley returned last week, but the team will be without starting QB Daniel Jones once again due to a neck injury. I believe Washington’s offense is due for a blow-up game with big performances from Terry McLaurin and Brian Robinson Jr. this week.
The Commanders leave New York with a winning record at 4-3 and hand the Giants their fifth straight loss.
