Last week's nominees: Vote now for the lohud Oct. 2-7 Player of the Week

Kayla Crai, Nyack

The senior midfielder celebrated Senior Day with two goals, her 10th and 11th of the season, and also assisted on the other two goals her team scored in a 4-0 win over Edgemont.

Gracyn Finn, Holy Child

The senior midfielder stood out in two setbacks last week, scoring both Gryphon goals in a 4-2 loss to St. Luke's and also scoring in a 6-2 loss to Frederick Gunn.

Samantha Golub, Rye Neck

The senior captain, who's a midfielder, scored on a well-executed penalty stroke in a 5-0 win over Byram Hills. She also notched an assist in a 4-0 win over Valhalla. In both games, she played as she has all season, winning one-on-one battles, causing opposition turnovers and creating offensive chances as her team's playmaker at the top of the circle.

Ava Harmon, Putnam Valley

The senior midfielder had a banner week as the Tigers won all three of their games. She scored twice against Pawling, had a hat trick against Croton and netted four goals and added an assist against Panas for nine goals and an assist over the span.

Erin Harney, Mahopac

The junior midfielder scored her second goal of the game off a penalty corner with no time remaining as the Wolf Pack tied Ketcham 3-3. Harney also had a goal in a 3-2 loss to Arlington.

Emma Mazzella, Harrison

Pulled up to varsity last year as a freshman, the midfielder, who has started every game this season, and is known for both her stick work and game sense, scored twice in a 6-1 win over Edgemont.

Mia Novelo, Pearl River

Stops by the junior defenseman, who multiple times took balls away from opponents in the midfield, were a key part of the reason Irvington didn't have a single shot in the Pirates' 2-0 win over it. She also had another huge defensive game in a 5-1 win over Clarkstown, which only got four shots on net. And Novelo was also key in Pearl River's 4-0 win over Nyack, which also didn't put a shot on net and also didn't get any offensive penalty corners.
