Fenway Park to host free Game 6 Boston Celtics watch party
Boston Celtics fans without a ticket to Thursday’s Game 6 have a unique venue to catch the game instead. The city of Boston and the Boston Red Sox have teamed up and are offering a free watch party at Fenway Park to eager fans. Built in 1912, Fenway is professional baseball’s oldest active ballpark. It’s played host to all sorts of concerts and shows, as well. This Thursday it will become an exciting forum for Celtics fans.
The Red Sox announced free tickets are available online. Fans will be allowed to view the game from lower-level seats on the scoreboard television.
There will be limited concessions — alcohol service will be limited to the first half of the game.

Boston mayor Michelle Wu said at a press conference she believes this is a really special event. “Despite our storied championship sports teams, Boston doesn’t have a history of hosting many of these free watch parties,” the mayor stated.
“So we have worked to test out different locations and learn from each event as we go. I’m grateful to the Red Sox for joining alongside us to cheer on our beloved team in a welcoming, exciting venue.”

The mayor stressed the need for fans to celebrate in a safe and responsible manner, adding that hopefully, this partnership will provide fans the right environment to enjoy the game respectfully and without issue.
Fenway Park will begin admitting fans at 8 pm. The game is scheduled to tipoff an hour later. The Celtics are on the wrong side of a 3-2 NBA Finals deficit and will be looking to force a critical Game 7 in San Francisco.
