Grayson Allen has been ruled out a second straight game with a right ankle sprain as the Phoenix Suns face a 3-0 hole to the Minnesota Timberwolves going into Sunday's Game 4 at Footprint Center.

Allen sprained his ankle in the third quarter of Game 1 and then rolled it again in the third quarter of Game 2. He was previously listed as questionable.

"He's making progress, but he rolled that thing pretty good," Suns coach Frank Vogel said before Game 5. "He keeps trying. Every time he does some work to test it out, it feels even worse the next day. He's just not ready to play."

Allen has scored just seven points, going 1-of-5 from 3, so far in this series. Vogel is hopeful Allen could play if there is a Game 5 Tuesday in Minneapolis.

Royce O'Neale has started Game 3 and Game 4 in place of Allen. O'Neale didn't score on 0-of-5 shooting in Game 3. He has yet to score in this series since going for 14 points, hitting 4-of-8 from 3, in Game 1.
