FC Cincinnati set to host NYCFC at TQL Stadium in US Open Cup

FC Cincinnati's never beaten its next opponent in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, but at least FCC will have homefield advantage for this encounter.

Officials conducted on Thursday the draw for the U.S. Open Cup's Round of 32. The live-streamed event revealed FC Cincinnati would host New York City FC in the upcoming round.

While U.S. Soccer confirmed the Round of 32 would be staged May 9 and May 10, the date of the match, as well as kickoff time and broadcast information, is yet to be confirmed.

FC Cincinnati is 0-6-2 against NYCFC. The two draws both occurred during the 2022 season.

FCC season ticket members will have access to an exclusive presale window for the NYCFC match starting at 10 a.m. Monday, with a public on-sale beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Seating for the match will be limited to the Bailey and along the lower east side.

FC Cincinnati's drawing came after it was assigned to a four-club pod that also contained Loudoun United of the second-division USL Championship and Columbus Crew. Loudoun and Columbus will play in the corresponding match at Loudoun's 5,000-seater stadium, Segra Field, in Leesburg, Virginia.
