How they fared: Minshew Magic not enough against Browns

Oct. 24—Despite some heroic efforts by Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew, they still fell in the waning seconds, 39-38, to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Browns' running back Kareem Hunt scored the go-ahead touchdown on fourth-and-goal with 15 seconds left in regulation to propel Cleveland to victory.

Minshew, a former Washington State quarterback, still managed to put up some impressive numbers in defeat. He was 15-of-23 passing for 305 yards and two touchdowns. He added 29 yards and two more scores on the ground.

His two rushing TDs came during the first half, and he was able to put his elusiveness on display by juking out several defenders on his way to paydirt.

The fifth-year NFL veteran started the season as a backup for the Colts. But starter Anthony Richardson had to undergo season-ending shoulder surgery earlier this season.
