Fans' Choice: Who is the Taunton Daily Gazette Softball Player of the Season?

The high school softball regular season has come to a close in the Greater Taunton area.

Back-to-back-to-back Division 1 champions Taunton (20-0, 16-0 Hockomock) once again have led the way locally, recording shutouts in 14 of their regular season contests. Dighton-Rehoboth (18-3, 11-3 South Coast Conference) have once again been one of the hottest hitting teams around while Bridgewater-Raynham (13-6, 7-1 Southeast Conference) and Bristol-Plymouth (13-6, 9-2 Mayflower Athletic Conference) have benefited from a core of solid young talent balanced with some veteran experience.

Once again, all four local teams are tournament bound, with the Tigers and Trojans in Division 1, the Craftsmen in Division 2 and the Falcons in Division 3.

With the regular season now in the rearview, now it's your chance to make your voice heard. Cast your vote for the Taunton Daily Gazette Softball Player of the Season here, with polls open through noon Saturday.
