Everything Bills coach Sean McDermott said about Von Miller being scratched

A storyline hit the Buffalo Bills prior to their game against the New England Patriots even kicked off in Week 17.

The Bills did not have pass rusher Von Miller in their lineup. He’s also not injured. Miller was a healthy scratch.

Miller did miss the first four games of the season as he worked his way back from right ACL surgery last year. The 34-year-old had been playing between 20 and 30 snaps each game in a limited role since then and he has failed to record a single sack all year.

Deciding to sit down such a prominent name was not an easy decision, head coach Sean McDermott said.

“That was a tough decision,” he said.
