ESPN ranks Joe Harris the 75th best player in the league
It is almost time for the moment of truth. A new NBA season is on the horizon and the Brooklyn Nets are ready to make noise. With players like Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving there is no doubt that this team will be contending for a championship. One particular player that fans need to look out for though is Brooklyn’s sharpshooter, Joe Harris.
In ESPN’s latest player rankings, the 30-year-old is listed as the 75th best player in the league. According to Tim Bontemps of ESPN, Harris “will help make the Nets the league’s most complete offense this season.” What will be concerning for the former Virginia product will be his ability to bounce back.
Harris had a hard time in the second round of last season’s playoffs against the Milwaukee Bucks. He averaged 9.6 PPG on only 35% shooting from the field and 33% shooting from three. This was a huge drop off compared to his 50% accuracy from the field and league best 48% shooting from three during the regular season.
His confidence will certainly be tested come October. Will Harris answer the call and put this all behind him? Or will that series get the best of him moving forward? It is only a matter of time before we find out.
