ESPN’s latest Bottom 10 college football rankings has Colorado with some unexpected company

Bowl season and the College Football Playoff are getting closer, and there have been a ton of moving storylines all season long, especially with the top teams.

However, fans of the Colorado Buffaloes have had to endure a disastrous season and one that could end with just one victory.

ESPN writer Ryan McGee compiled his Bottom 10 list following Week 11 games and unfortunately (but not shockingly), the Buffs made the cut. The Buffs have made this list a few times, and they are one spectacular Montana Lemonious-Craig catch away from a zero-win season.

The rest of the list is brutal, and let’s examine the latest ESPN Bottom 10:

UMASS (1-9)

UMass has one victory this season and it came against Stony Brook, which shouldn’t really count. The Minutemen lost to Arkansas State and before that, Connecticut.

USF (1-9)

USF fired its head coach and its only victory came against Howard. Ouch.

AKRON (1-9)

Quite a few teams on this list have one win and Akron is another. Its only victory was against St. Francis…by a touchdown.

COLORADO (1-9)

We can’t blame everything on Karl Dorrell. Nonetheless, Mike Sanford got the only win and hasn’t done much since, and a new staff is set to take place in Boulder at some point.

TEXAS A&M (3-7)

The Aggies have three wins, which is the most of any team in the Bottom 10. They defeated Miami and Arkansas in back-to-back weeks but have lost six straight.

The good news is that they face fellow Bottom 10 foe UMass next.

NORTHWESTERN (1-9)

The Big Ten will add UCLA and USC in a couple of seasons, so Northwestern doesn’t have a lot to look forward to in the next few years, either.

NEW MEXICO (2-9)

The Lobos are one of two Mountain West teams with zero conference wins.

NEVADA (2-8)

Well, what do you know? The Wolfpack are the other MWC team with zero wins, and they have easily been one of the worst teams in the nation after winning two games in September.

HAWAII (2-9)

Another MWC team? Yes, it has been THAT bad in that conference.

COLORADO STATE (2-8)

Two Colorado teams are here, which has been the case for most of the season. The Rams somehow have two wins.
