ESPN to air 2024 Hall of Fame Game, featuring Chicago Bears, Houston Texans, in a first

For the first time, ESPN will broadcast the annual Hall of Fame Game from Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium at 8 p.m., Aug. 1. It will feature the Chicago Bears against the Houston Texans.

The game, which has been on NBC since the 2006 season, aired on ABC from 1971-2005, and will be simulcast on the network (WEWS, Channel 5) locally, kicking off the NFL’s 105th season.

The game also helps kick off Enshrinement Week in Canton.

The “Monday Night Football” broadcast team will be on the call. Joe Buck will serve as play-by-play announcer with Troy Aikman providing game analysis and Lisa Salters providing sideline reports.

The Browns beat the Jets 21-16 in the 2023 Hall of Fame Game.
