ANDY BEHRENS: Injuries are piling up across the NFL. And we have six teams on bye in week 7. So let's get right to the early fantasy ads. We have to start with Jordan Mason, who functioned as the immediate replacement for Christian McCaffrey, who exited in the loss to the Browns with an oblique injury. Mason's run well over these last couple of weeks.

A couple of weeks ago against Dallas, it was 69 yards and a touchdown. Another touchdown against the Browns. He's a big back, a bruiser. Really difficult to bring down in the open field when he gets a head of steam. Is he Christian McCaffrey? No. He doesn't have that sort of electric ability. He doesn't have that receiving talent. He doesn't have the full package of skills that Christian McCaffrey has.

But he is going to be the lead runner for the 49ers if McCaffrey can't go in a week's time at Minnesota. That's a friendly match-up on Monday night. So Jordan Mason going to be a priority this week. No question about it.

At receiver, I'm taking a look at Rashee Rice. He is second on the Kansas City Chiefs in targets right now. He is tied with Travis Kelce in terms of red zone targets. He's had some really nice improv moments with Patrick Mahomes. It helps to have the best quarterback in the world driving the bus for the Chiefs, right?

So Rice is in a great situation. His snaps are trending up. His opportunities are trending up. And then the schedule looks really good ahead. He's got the Chargers coming up. He's got Denver again. He's got Miami. These are friendly spots. He's available in your league. Take a look at Rice.

You need help at quarterback, I'm just going to keep trotting out Sam Howell. It's not always a clinic, but he always finds a way to deliver some fantasy goodies. It was three touchdowns through the air against Atlanta this week. It was 388 and 2 touchdowns the week before against Chicago. He's got the Giants coming up, and come on, that's going to go well.
