Early fantasy football waiver wire pickups - Week 7

Yahoo Sports’ Andy Behrens offers up a trio of players for fantasy managers to consider — Falcons’ Marcus Mariota, Giants’ Wa’Dale Robinson and Ravens’ Kenyan Drake.

ANDY BEHRENS: Hey, Andy Behrens with a look at some potential fantasy adds for week seven-- week seven already. Marcus Mariota was nearly flawless against the Niners on Sunday. He threw more touchdown passes than incompletions. Sure, he only attempted 14 throws, but he hit 13 of them with a pair of touchdowns. Mariota also delivered his third rushing touchdown of the year, and it was the third time this season he's reached 50 rushing yards.

This all adds up to a pretty fair fantasy day. He's facing Cincinnati next week. They just allowed 26 points to the Saints, and then he gets Carolina. So there are really no stay away match-ups here. Mariota, currently available in about 86% of Yahoo leagues.

Also we need to talk about Wan'Dale Robinson. He was pretty great, made his triumphant return for the Giants. He was a sensational collegiate player, by the way. Over 100 catches in his final season at Kentucky, caught a touchdown pass-- a short touchdown from Daniel Jones on Sunday. That was great to see. You shouldn't need an expert to tell you that there are plenty of targets available for the taking in New York's offense.

And, lastly, I feel compelled to mention that Kenyon Drake had another day. He went over 100 rushing yards, actually against the Giants. This is two weeks in a row now that he has out-snapped JK Dobbins. That probably matters. Drake, again, coming off the big week, scored a long touchdown, and he's getting plenty of burn. He's got the hot hand in Baltimore right now, and he's got a stellar match-up on deck against the Cleveland Browns, a very generous run defense.
