A football team consists of 22 total starters, 11 on offense and 11 on defense. In order to become a successful team, you need to have guys who enjoy working hard with each other and staying on the same page at all times. That’s the case for Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthew and quarterback Sam Bradford

“Every single time we’re out here, whether it’s a good play or a bad play, I’m going back and asking Sam what he saw, what he likes, what he wants to do better and really just how I can improve my game to fit his standards of what he needs to see,” mentions Matthews.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Eagles try to make the locker room a safer place. Last season, when Chip Kelly was the head coach, one of his biggest concerns was the locker room. He got rid of all the guys with edgy egos. He replaced those players with high character players who would not be a headache on and off the field. As the season unfolded, the team chemistry got worse, everyone was very frustrated.

Most of us saw in the offseason that Matthews still wanted to build chemistry with his teammates. Back in March, Matthews went to Oklahoma where he hung out with Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford and tight end Zach Ertz. I personally thought that was a good idea going out of your way to hang out and gain chemistry with your quarterback. We don’t know how long Sam Bradford will be here, but at least Matthews is making the best of it.

Matthews mentioned he’s still working on his chemistry with quarterback Sam Bradford.

“We’re still kind of building that chemistry, but at the same time we’re on the same page of knowing each other and building that close relationship.” It seems like Matthews wants to make sure that his relationship/chemistry is in good hands so nothing bad will happen to them on the field.

In the end, Matthews is trying to help himself along with Bradford, to make sure that they play to their fullest potential; so they don’t have any excuses to fall on.

“I’m just trying to make sure I help him come out as best as possible so that he can have a great season too because I know he deserves it and that’s what I’m going to work for.”

Like I mentioned before, I think this is great seeing Jordan Matthews and Sam Bradford try to gain and build chemistry together. I believe Matthews is a great guy and will hopefully, one day, be a leader on this football team. With that being said, Sam Bradford isn’t going to be here long and isn’t a top tier quarterback, maybe not even a top 20 quarterback in the league. So will Jordan Matthews building chemistry with Sam Bradford help out the season?
