Eagles to release WR Deon Cain

The Eagles made their most significant roster move yet, releasing wide receiver Deon Cain, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Cain had eight catches on 18 targets with 106 receiving yards during three preseason performances and looked like an under-the-radar candidate for the roster.

With Cain and Devon Allen being waived, Britain Covey is the only remaining rookie pass catcher on the current roster and will likely battle Jalen Reagor for the final roster spot.
