Eagles acquire DB Chauncey Gardner-Johnson in a trade with the Saints

The Eagles are a team full of trash talkers, and Howie Roseman just acquired the biggest one in the NFL after trading for Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.

Gardner-Johnson was a hold-in during Saints training camp while seeking a new contract and is set to make $2.54 million this season in the final year of his rookie deal.

A slot cornerback who’ll see time at safety, Gardner-Johnson was a fourth-round pick in 2019 and has 161 tackles, five interceptions, three sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery in 43 regular season games.

He’s also started three postseason games.
