Tropical Storm Hilary moved through Southern California on Sunday, hammering the area with heavy rain and massive winds. Flooding created havoc from inland in the Palm Springs area to the coastlines that stretch from San Diego to Los Angeles. On top of that, a 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck Ojai, California, with the shocks felt some 80 miles away in Hollywood and the surrounding LA neighborhoods.
More flash flooding and mud/rock slides were the concerns on Monday as the storm front continued northward. And so far, the aftermath seen in images from the storm’s path is startling.
