Doughty goalless on the PP

Michael Finewax reports on some players who have plenty of assists but no goals on the power play

This week, I want to look at the top power play scorers who have yet to score.

Drew Doughty leads the way with 11 assists and nary a goal.

The rest are:

9 – Mike Ribeiro

8 – Cam Fowler

6- Hampus Lindholm, Danny DeKeyser, Justin Schultz, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Jonathan Huberdeau, Jussi Jokinen, Damon Severson, Jake Gardiner.

There are some noteworthy players who have only one goal and plenty of assists including Nicklas Backstrom (22), Kris Letang (18) and Joe Thornton (15).

If you play power play goals only, these players lose a lot of value.

There were a few trades in the NHL this week but I’m keeping Myers, Stafford and Franson with their old teams for one more week.
