Don Mahoney hired as Webb’s head coach
Webb School in Knoxville, Tennessee announced Don Mahoney as head coach Tuesday.
He served as offensive line coach for the Vols from 2013-16 under head coach Butch Jones.
“Please welcome the new head football coach at Webb School of Knoxville, Coach Don Mahoney,” Webb announced.
Mahoney replaces David Meske. Meske is retiring as Webb’s head coach and athletics director after nearly four decades.
Mahoney served as offensive line coach for Meske in 2022. Webb (10-1) advanced to the Tennessee Division II-AA state semifinals in 2022.
Mahoney will also serve as Webb’s associate director of student-athlete development.
He also coached at East Carolina, Cincinnati and Tulane.
