Dolphins fall multiple spots in power rankings after losing to Chiefs

The Miami Dolphins were defeated by the Kansas City Chiefs 21-14 on Sunday in Frankfurt, Germany, bringing their record down to 6-3 on the season.

Mike McDaniel’s team found themselves in a 21-point hole early on, as they were held scoreless in the first half. While they brought themselves back within a score with the ball on the Chiefs’ side of the field, they were unable to tie the game or take the lead due to unforced errors, which had plagued them all game.

With the season ongoing, Touchdown Wire’s Jarrett Bailey has been producing weekly power rankings for the NFL. The Dolphins had climbed up to No. 4 last week, but after the loss, they’ve tumbled down to No. 7.

Here’s what Bailey had to say about Miami:

“Beat FCS Midwest and the University of Quiznos all you want. Until the Dolphins beat an actual team, they will be labeled a unit who can’t win big games.”

Ahead of the Dolphins are now the Detroit Lions (No. 6), Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 5), Cincinnati Bengals (No. 4), Baltimore Ravens (No. 3), Kansas City Chiefs (No. 2) and Philadelphia Eagles (No. 1).

They’ve been leaped by Detroit, Cincinnati and Baltimore in the last week.
