When does the NFL schedule come out? NFL schedule leaks so far

The secret is out.

The NFL will release its 2024 schedule Wednesday night on the NFL Network, ESPN and ESPN+.

It's one of the highlights of the offseason. We can all sit down with our favorite team's schedule and guess how they'll do week by week.

And the next few days are some of the most fun. Because the NFL drops spoilers seemingly every few hours as games are leaked. So far, we know two games, both opening weekend.

Below, we'll include what we know and what we see online. Until games are announced by the NFL, they're not official.

Who has the toughest schedule?

While this doesn't tell you who is playing where and when, it's a good look at what kind of schedule you can expect for your team. It doesn't mean a lot, with the turnover in the NFL, teams can change their fortunes in one offseason.

Monday Night Football note

Joe Buck, who calls Monday Night Football on ESPN dropped this today on Good Morning America: The Cowboys, Chiefs, Bills and 49ers will all have two Monday Night Football games this year. The 49ers are scheduled to play the Jets in the first Monday Night Football game of the year.

Two Jags game released?

While unofficial, it looks like Jacksonville had two games leak. According to a few Twitter posts, the Jaguars will meet the Cleveland Browns in Week 2. This game is scheduled for Jacksonville, reports say. The other game is late in the season when the Browns will battle the Raiders in Las Vegas in Week 16.

Giant game coming to Germany?

A rumored game will have the New York Giants play the Carolina Panthers in Munich, Germany. This game isn't official yet, the NFL has not confirmed it, just a rumor right now. But based off last year's records, the Cleveland Browns have the toughest schedule in the NFL while the Falcons have the easiest.

Week 2 Thursday Night Football announced

A huge AFC East divisional game is on tap for the first Thursday Night Football game on Amazon Prime Video, as the Buffalo Bills battle the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 12.

NFL dominating prime time early

The NFL will hold prime time games on Thursday (Chiefs-Ravens), Friday (Packers-Eagles), Sunday, which hasn't been announced just yet, and Monday (49ers-Jets).

Do-over for Aaron Rodgers

The New York Jets didn't have a great debut last year on Monday Night Football. Seconds into the game, their new franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a blown Achilles. This year, the Jets and Rodgers also open the season on Monday night. This year, they'll meet the defending NFC Champions, the San Francisco 49ers.

Chiefs-Bengals set for Week 2

Two of the top teams in the league will do battle on the second Sunday of the season when the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Cincinnati Bengals. This game will be in the late window of games, kicking off at 4:25.

Tom Brady debut set

The greatest quarterback of all time will begin his new gig Week 1 when the Dallas Cowboys travel to Cleveland to play the Browns in a late afternoon kickoff. Brady retired from the NFL after the 2022 season after winning seven Super Bowls. Brady made a lot of news last week when he starred in his own roast on Netflix.

International games leaked?

NFL Schedule Update has educated guesses on the international games. It has Jets vs. Vikings in Week 5, Jaguars vs. Bears in Week 6 and Patriots vs. Jaguars on Week 7. These games are scheduled for London, though the games are not confirmed. It also guesses the game in Munich, Germany, will be Giants vs. Panthers in Week 10.

Week 1 battle between new quarterbacks?

It looks like Russell Wilson and the Pittsburgh Steelers might square off against Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons in their openers.

Eagles hosting Monday Night Football Week 2?

Another strong rumor on social media is that the Eagles will host a Monday Night Football game after returning home from Brazil. The rumored opponent is the New York Giants. This would be Eagles running back Saquan Barkley's first game against his former team, should it be accurate.

Prime time game for Aaron Rodgers week 1?

Another hot rumor online is the New York Jets will face the Houston Texans on Sunday Night Football in Week 1. This would pit Aaron Rodgers, who was injured in Week 1 last year against last season's top rookie C.J. Stroud.

Another Eagles game set?

It's being speculated online that the Philadelphia Eagles will play their second game of the season on Monday Night Football. That would give the Eagles a nice early season break after opening the season on Friday. That will give them 10 days between games. No opponent has been rumored yet.

Who is playing in the NFL Opener

The NFL opener almost always includes the team that won the Super Bowl and this year will be no different. The NFL announced opening night will be the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Baltimore Ravens.

It's a great opener, which includes the best team from last year against the MVP, Lamar Jackson.

When is Labor Day 2024?

The NFL season begins the Thursday after Labor Day. This year, Labor Day falls on Monday, Sept. 2, and the NFL season begins Sept. 5. The earliest it can start under this format is Sept. 4, so we are having an early start to the season.

NFL game in Brazil

The NFL is going head-to-head with high school football this year with an opening weekend game Friday, Sept. 6. The game will be played in Brazil and it will feature the Philadelphia Eagles "hosting" the Green Bay Packers. This is the only game that has been announced officially.

Other International NFL Games

The NFL has also announced the home teams for the five international games this year. Opponents will be named when the schedule is released.

The Carolina Panthers will host a game in Munich, Germany, while the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears will each host games in London. The other international game is the Week 1 affair between the Eagles and Packers in Brazil.

NFL Thanksgiving Day schedule

There will be three games on Thanksgiving this year. The Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys will host games during the day, and there will be a game Thanksgiving night featuring two other teams.

Last year was the first time the NFL played a game on Black Friday when the Miami Dolphins beat up on the New York Jets. This year, the NFL will continue this new tradition.

NFL Christmas schedule

Santa is bringing us Wednesday football this year. On Christmas Day, the NFL will hold two games. That means we'll have football virtually every day but Christmas Eve and possibly Friday, although there are rumors the league will hold a game Dec. 27.

The teams that will play on Christmas will also play the Saturday before Christmas to give the players time to recover before the next game.
