District 10 softball playoffs open Monday with 28 teams vying for D-10 crowns
The District 10 softball playoffs begin Monday as D-10 crowns five champions over an eight-day period.
The Class 1A and 2A quarterfinals are set Monday with the Class 3A and 4A quarterfinals following on Tuesday.
Erie High and McDowell will play for the D-10 6A title on Monday at Penn State Behrend at 3 p.m. The winner has to win two PIAA subregionals to make it to the PIAA first round. The D-10 champion has to travel to Stan Lederman Field on Wednesday for a PIAA subregional against District 8 and the winner takes on the District 6 champion the following week.
The D-10 6A final is part of a doubleheader at Behrend on Monday and there are two games at the Hermitage Complex and a single game at Allegheny College.
On Tuesday, there are doubleheaders at Behrend, Allegheny and Slippery Rock University.
