Dirty Martin's trolls Texas A&M fans with replica of Jimbo Fisher's championship plaque

One of Austin's local burger spots, Dirty Martin's had social media buzzing on Friday. However, their famous burgers weren't the reason for the attention.

Rather, it was because of the restaurant's Instagram post about a new trophy they had just added to their collection. That trophy? The infamous 20— National Championship plaque that former Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher received upon his hiring.

Fisher was infamously fired from his position this past season despite the Aggies having to eat a record $75 million buyout. Afterward, there was speculation about what he would do with the embarrassing plaque. How and why would an Austin burger joint be the one to get ahold of it, though?

Well, unfortunately for Texas fans, Dirty Martin's general manager, Daniel Young, has confirmed that the plaque is a fake. There are also small differences that can be noticed when comparing the replica to the original.

"It was sort of a joke made by a customer of ours," Young said. "He asked to have it made at a trophy shop."

The restaurant is near UT's campus and Young says that they tend to get a few Aggie customers every now and then. For Young it's a playful jab at his rival fans, but not something so serious that he expects angry reactions.

"Just posted it on social media to create some buzz," Young said. "I'm a Texas fan, didn't go to school there but I grew up around it."

Texas had its best record since 2009 this past year, going 12-2 and making the College Football Playoff for the first time. This year? They are set up for the same, if not more success, with a schedule that includes their first game vs. A&M since 2011.

So, let's say winner gets the real plaque. Sounds good?
