Diontae Johnson ranked among top wide receivers in AFC by PFF

The AFC boasts a very talented group of wide receivers and according to Pro Football Focus, Diontae Johnson of the Pittsburgh Steelers is among them.

Johnson checked in at No. 9 on their top 10 list. Guys like Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins, Cincinnati’s Ja’Marr Chase and Buffalo’s Stephon Diggs can sort out who belongs where at the top of the list but there’s no denying Johnson is in the discussion for that next tier.

No receiver in the NFL was better at getting open last season than Johnson. Unfortunately, Johnson’s production took a big hit in 2022 based on a myriad of issues. Pittsburgh was breaking in a rookie quarterback and doing it with an offensive coordinator who seems completely lost at times.

You can’t help but wonder what kind of production Johnson could have in an offense like the Kansas City Chiefs. Hopefully, Johnson can get closer to his 2021 production this season when he caught 107 passes for 1,161 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns.
