Dillon Brooks 'wouldn't mind' playing LeBron James in the playoffs. He explained why

Dillon Brooks will be watching today’s matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers at his home with Memphis Grizzlies teammate Jaren Jackson Jr. coming over to join.

The Lakers have one of the NBA’s best records since the All-Star break, and the Timberwolves just lost premier defender Jaden McDaniels to a broken right hand.

When considering Brooks’ competitive spirit, it’s not a surprise which player and team Brooks highlighted.

“I wouldn’t mind playing LeBron (James) in a seven-game series,” Brooks said after the Grizzlies practiced on Tuesday. “The legacy is there. First time back in the playoffs, knock him out right away. They’ll test us good. They got good pieces, good players. That’ll be a good first-round matchup for us.”

Brooks guarded James earlier this season once. He held James to 8-for-21 shooting, but the Lakers came out with the win. James only played in one of the three meetings between the Grizzlies and Lakers.

The Timberwolves and Lakers will play tonight at 9 p.m. on TNT. The winner will play the Grizzlies on Sunday at FedExForum.
