Diego Brandao Calls Conor McGregor a Clown, Predicts KO Victory at UFC Fight Night Dublin

UFC Fight Night 46 in Dublin, Ireland, was originally supposed to feature a grudge-match as its featured attraction between Dublin’s own Conor McGregor and American rival Cole Miller. When Miller was forced out of the bout due to injury, Diego Brandao stepped up on short notice to replace Miller.

The replacement match-up between McGregor and Brandao has since turned into a grudge-match of its own.

“I think he’s a clown. Like at the press conference, or whenever he talks, everyone is always laughing,” Brandao told UFC.com when asked what he thought about McGregor (Watch Video Here).

The Brazilian called into question McGregor’s upbringing. He likened the 26-year-old Irishman to a spoiled brat, and plans to hand out some discipline at the O2 on Saturday.

“His mom never slapped him in the face when he was a kid. That is why he’s like that. So I’m going to be his dad on Saturday night,” said Brandao.

Half of Brandao’s 18 wins have come by knockout, and he expects to add another one to the list on Saturday.

“Knock him out. Knock him out,” said Brandao about his intentions. “I’m the one who is going to talk in the post-fight press conference. He’s not going to talk at all. I’m gong to tell him, ‘Shut up. Shut up. You lost the fight.’

“The little, short Mike Tyson has come back to kick your ass Conor,” added Brandao. “I’m going to win.”
