Did officials rob Texas A&M on Max Wright TD catch vs South Carolina? See for yourself

Texas A&M vs. South Carolina was marred with some officiating controversy in the third quarter.

With the Aggies up 21-10 in the third quarter, quarterback Max Johnson tossed what looked like a 9-yard touchdown pass to tight end Max Wright, who showed some truly outstanding body control to drag his toe in-bounds while gaining control of the ball.

The play, however, was ruled incomplete. And, after further review — to the shock of the College Station crowd — the call was upheld.

The only word to describe such a call: confusing. Wright looked to have clear possession of the ball as he dragged his toe and before he fell out of bounds.

While it's difficult to see plays like these unfold in real-time, the use of replay clearly shows Wright getting the toe down and should have resulted in a touchdown.

Texas A&M would go on to kick a field goal and claim a 24-10 lead after a third-down incompletion. What would have been an 11-play, 6:10 touchdown drive turned into a 13-play field goal for the Aggies.

Observers who witnessed the upheld call were, naturally, perplexed:
