Diamondbacks share video of infielder Blaze Alexander making Opening Day roster
The Arizona Diamondbacks made sure to film infield prospect Blaze Alexander's special moment ahead of his Major League debut.
Alexander got the news of a lifetime Wednesday as manager Torey Lovullo brought him into his office to break the good news to him. After asking Alexander if he has family in town, which he answered his parents were, Lovullo said, "Make sure they have a good seat because you're going to be a Big Leaguer tomorrow.
"It's a beautiful thing. You earned it."
Alexander then called his family and told them, "I'm going to the Show. Opening Day."
"Make sure [your parents] have good seats, because you're going to be a big leaguer tomorrow."

Alexander wore No. 9 in his debut and went 2-for-5 with one run batted in as the Diamondbacks routed the Rockies 16-1 on Opening Day. The 24-year-old had a big spring training, playing in 25 games and posted a .400 average at the plate while managing 22 hits, two home runs, eight RBIs, and eight runs.
