Devin Booker reveals Nike Book 1 shoe release date after Shaq recruits him to Reebok

Shaquille O'Neal trolled another Phoenix Suns player for the second time within just over a week.

First, it was Shaq's misguided hot take accusing Jusuf Nurkic of contemplating to press criminal charges on Draymond Green for erratically punching him during a game.

Next, the Hall of Famer and former Suns center tried to recruit Devin Booker on social media to sign with Reebok.

O'Neal, the longtime Reebok endorse and the brand's new basketball president, reached out to Booker after the three-time All-Star cryptically responded in the comment section of online media outlet Complex's Instagram post last Saturday.

The post was about Booker's alleged displeasure about his Nike Book 1 signature shoe sneaker rollout, which had clips of a panel discussion on Complex Sneakers Show's latest episode titled, "Is Nike Fumbling The D Book Launch?"

Nike said in a September news release the Nike Book 1 is scheduled to be in stores this upcoming spring, after Nike initially launched its marketing campaign for its orange-based colorway earlier that month.

Booker commented on the Complex post with a crying emoji and tagged one of the website's sneaker writers Matthew Welty, "A lot of people feel the same way."

Complex perceived Booker's ambiguous comment that he's aligned with fans of his first signature shoe's rollout, and wrote an article around that comment.

However, Booker was simply stating addressing how many people, including Phoenix Suns fans and a contingent of his own followers, might feel about the shoe's exclusivity as the first 500 pairs were released at luxury fashion retailer UNKNWN during the Art Basel Miami showcase in December.

Booker denied that misconception in additional posts about how he feels about Nike's rollout and the shoe itself, and then O'Neal caught wind of that exchange.

O'Neal posted on his own Instagram account and tagged Booker: "Hey D Book, I know y'all aren't happy with the sneaker launch. You should come with Reebok. We just getting started. Hit me."

Booker isn't going to Reebok, no way, no how.

He ultimately decided to troll both Complex and O'Neal in return on his own Instagram story with an old photo of himself looking perplexed.

"When Complex creates a fake narrative about you and now Shaq is recruiting you to Reebok," Booker wrote in the photo's caption with two laughing emojis.

In addition, after several responses to other people's comments about the Nike Book 1's rollout and the shoe's look, Booker revealed his shoe's release date, Feb. 17.
