Game notes: For the third time in two days, the Kansas City Royals face the Detroit Tigers at "The K" in Kansas City. So far, "The K" has been "The L" for the Tigers who are looking to avoid a second-straight series loss against an AL Central opponent.

Beau Brieske will look to stop the Royals from sliding the Tigers further and further towards the bottom of the AL Central cellar. In Brieske's last outing, he went 6⅓ innings allowing two hits and striking out four batters in a 6-2 victory over the White Sox.
